Class Description – This class is specifically designed for artists who want to explore aerial movement with an emphasis on theatricality, movement, and self-expression. We will harness the expressive nature of aerials using improvisation, movement, and play to convey ideas, stories, emotions, or simply to help our artistic practice expand to new heights.All artists from all disciplines are welcomed to join. There are no strength prerequisites, the only requirements are an open mind and willingness to explore, collaborate, and have fun!
Sandra Olarte (she/her) is a Mexican-Canadian aerial artist who has been performing in Canada and abroad since 2009. In Amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton) she has performed in theatre productions, arts festivals, and public and private events.She is a graduate of the École Nationale de Cirque’s Instructor in Circus Arts program and has completed numerous workshops & teacher training courses all over Canada, USA, Latin America, and Europe.

In Person:
Comfortable, athletic clothing that covers legs & torso are required for success! Bringing an extra top layer to cover the armpits is highly recommended. No clothing with velcro, zippers, or metal, please.
