Theatre Community Building: Re-Imagining Practices and Rituals

This lab will offer a space for ideas, a guided discussion and devising session with a focus of re-imagining our practices and rituals in theatre. Our goal is to walk away with a newfound sense of possibility, feeling confident on how to translate those ideas into action towards the betterment and expansion of our theatre community.
Bio:
Natércia is a multifaceted Brazilian theatre artist and community advocate. Her work in equity has impacted major theatre organizations, training institutions, arts media, funding bodies and artists in the Canadian theatre industry. Natércia is currently embarking on her first directing contract as part of the Lobbyists collective at the upcoming Chinook Festival. Other recent credits include: until the next breath (Catalyst Theatre/ NAC); Fado: The Saddest Music in the World (Puente Theatre/ Firehall Arts Centre)
