Where does the movement begin? How can we guide our exploration? In this lab, we’ll go through creative tasks to spark curiosity and discover inspiration in both the outside world and from the inside of our bodies working quickly and intuitively and taking advantage of our current living situations. Participants will share their own exploration and join in a dialogue of supportive feedback. This lab is open to all people, from established artists to those humans tramped in their own bodies during the quarantine.
BIO
Mexican born, Canadian in process. Dancer, teacher, volunteer, and YouTuber, I’m a movement artist interested in finding aesthetic, expressiveness, and movement motifs in every single body willing to explore. I’ve danced here and there (National Folk Company, Mile Zero, NextFest, ODPG) and now I’m focused on creating my own performances. I like cats, dogs, drink kombucha, and take as much sun as possible during summer.
