Community Engagement Workshops
A variety of movement workshops in high schools and community organizations led by select professional movement-based artists. The workshops change shape to fit the needs of the engaged group, often exploring topics such as physical theatre, interdisciplinary performance, movement invention, and movement for the actor. Expanse Study Group
For post secondary students who are required to write performance responses as a part of their core class work. The students receive discount tickets to select performances at the festival and engage in a post-performance discussion with the Expanse Outreach Coordinator. This post-performance discussion is specifically designed to assist students in formulating their performance responses. For more information, email Expanse Outreach Coordinator
Festival Workshop Series

The Lobbyist Program
A paid professional training opportunity for emerging performance artists interested in physical/dance theatre and site-specific performance. The selected group undergoes an extended period of physical training and facilitated creation which culminates in the creation of a series of performance scores which are then presented in site-specific, pop-up, physical performances throughout the city and also animate the lobby of the Expanse Festival.
