Living as an artist can often be equal measures of powerful fulfillment and debilitating exhaustion. As members of the creative sector (this includes ALL contributors), we utilize an extremely influential platform to deliver our work. We have the potential to engage with a vast number of perspectives and experiences, and to transform public understanding. As an integral component of any society, how do we build a practice, and an industry, that roots itself in regenerative structures and expand our definition of what it is to be an artist in this world, today?

The underpinning of regenerative practices is found in relationship – relationship to each other and to land. This workshop will introduce principles of ecological design and whole systems thinking, and will discuss how these components can inform and support your practice in the arts, as well as our shared industry in general. Through an engaged, shared-learning format, we will discuss both visionary and practical applications, along with personal and group exercises to draw us deeper into the conversation.

Please come ready to write, to listen respectfully to and appreciate others, and to share what you are able to with the group. Participants who wish to simply observe the workshop are welcome – please just let Vanessa know.
