Azimuth Theatre is thrilled to highlight Amena Shehab, a vibrant force in theatre and a cherished member of the our community.
Reflecting on her favourite moments with Azimuth, Amena fondly recalls the online performance lab sessions. She says they were experiences that were vital in her artistic growth, offering unique opportunities for creativity and collaboration.
Amena’s passion lies in both acting and writing, two powerful mediums that allow her to tell stories that resonate deeply with audiences. She finds joy in crafting narratives and bringing characters to life on stage, creating a shared experience with her audience that transcends the ordinary. She has returned from a monumental performance of her one-woman show, “Hager,” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is looking forward to being back in Edmonton!
Amena is also excited about her role as a producer for “After the Trojan Women,” a play she co-wrote that will debut in 2025 as part of Common Ground Arts Society’s RISER. Her dedication to storytelling and her commitment to exploring the human condition through theatre continues to inspire the Azimuth community and beyond.
