Performance Lab #8: How to Talk to Your Tech with Selina Painchaud
January 24 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pmPay What You Will
Whether it’s a staged workshop of your indie production, a season show, or your first Fringe Show, there comes a time when every creative team must brave the theatre and transform their creative vision into reality.
Technicians, although often in shadow, are there to help make this transformation possible.
But, there’s one problem… we don’t know how to talk to them.
Fear not. We are going to dive into technical theatre practices and standards, how technicians operate, what information techs need to make your show amazing and how to navigate communication as you move into your tech process.
This Lab is for anyone who has ever asked the following questions:
How do I get the most out of my tech time?
How do I make Tech Week less painful?
How do I keep the creative energy up as I move my show from rehearsal hall to the theatre?
And, most importantly, How do I talk to my tech?!?
ASL Interpretation and Auto-Generated Captions will be provided
