Azimuth Community Highlight – Lacey Hews

Artist Highlight: Lacey Hews (She/Her)
Sign Language Interpreter |
We LOVE Lacey! Whether she’s interpreting performances or pitching in at Bingos, she brings such genuine care, warmth, and presence to every space she’s in. Her work uplifts our community, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of the Azimuth family.
Lacey says, “The whole team at Azimuth always has such positive energy and the desire to do right by their community. Every opportunity to work with the organization fills my cup!” It’s that spirit of mutual respect and collaboration that has shaped our relationship since 2022. For Lacey, the magic of theatre lies in the chance to connect with diverse audiences and provide accessibility with a smile—something she does so beautifully.
She reminds us that without the Deaf community, there are no interpreters, and that true accessibility depends on meaningful collaboration. “Azimuth does a great job at working within their means to create those inclusive spaces,” she shares. Lacey is always open to being booked for events—big or small—and encourages everyone to explore Deaf art whenever they can.
Thank you, Lacey, for all that you bring to our community. We’re so lucky to have you in our orbit!
